Volunteering

Being a volunteer

Minds in Motion provides a variety of benefits to volunteers, the community and the units we work in. It is very common for volunteers to get much more out of it than they originally expected. Volunteers make a huge contribution to our work and allow us to reach out to more people.

Give a little… you’ll get back so much more.

Minds in Motion provides a variety of benefits to volunteers, the community and the units we work in. It is very common for volunteers to get much more out of it than they originally expected. Volunteers make a huge contribution to our work and allow us to reach out to more people.

Minds in Motion is an excellent way of getting involved with the community. It is widely appreciated that community service such as this has a unique way of developing an individual’s leadership skills, sense of community, self-esteem and other personal characteristics. Volunteering with Minds in Motion is an opportunity to gain new social and practical skills, which you can draw on throughout your university life and beyond.

We have a wide range of opportunities, ranging from helping out with activities once a month to being a team leader or helping to raise money. Whatever your background and however you volunteer, you’ll find working with Minds in Motion to be both rewarding and challenging. We are always grateful for any help that students can give us and with your support, we hope to make a difference.
