Below are the positions available:
2 x Project Coordinators –You will be involved with general management and running of MIM. Jobs may include: help with scheduling, attending sessions and recruiting new volunteers. You’ll be working closely with the Project Coordinators, so you’ll need to be organised and have good communication skills.
Secretary – Will take minutes at committee meetings, as well as helping to respond to emails from volunteers.
Treasurer – Will manage MIM bank finances. You will work closely alongside the Fundraising officer.
Publicity Officer – Will be involved in advertising Minds in Motion activities, and managing the brand new MIM website.
Fundraising Officer – You will organise fundraising events and contact local organisations to rally financial support for MIM.
Harmony Café Caterers – At our Harmony Cafes once a month, we have a free buffet for our visitors. We are looking to pay for some volunteers to carry out the Food Hygiene Course (online), so that you are able to prepare food for future cafes. This will be on an infrequent basis and more as a reserve.
Dance and Movement Team Leader – Dance and Movement involves mobility exercises and playing various games with those at the units.
Singing Team Leader – Singing involves getting a group of volunteers together, and encouraging the day visitors/residents to join in with the singing from the MIM singing handbook.
Reminiscence Assistant Team Leader – Reminiscence involves talking about different topics and triggering different memories. Usually going with a theme, for example childhood holidays, you would run a session with the patients getting them to think back and discuss positive memories.
Interactive Music Assistant Team Leader – Interactive Music involves encouraging those in the units to play along with various instruments. It would be great if you play some sort of musical instrument! Our previous team leader used to take her clarinet along and play for the patients at the end of each session.
